Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and OceanX Consulting Pty Ltd, which runs Seal the Offer. In short: you pay once per job or pass, with no subscription. You own your content. You check everything before you send it. And your rights under consumer law always apply.

About these terms
Seal the Offer is run by OceanX Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 67 615 055 368), Australia. Here, “we” and “us” mean OceanX Consulting Pty Ltd, and “you” means the person using Seal the Offer.
By using the site, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under consumer law. Where these terms and the law disagree, the law wins.
What we do
Seal the Offer helps you prepare for a job. You give us a job ad and your resume. We show the ad's rules and a free preview. If you pay, we write an Interview Kit of answers built on your own experience.
It's a tool to help you prepare and practise. It doesn't apply for jobs for you, and it can't promise you a job or an interview. Employers make their own decisions.
AI can make mistakes. Rules, predicted questions and company facts may be wrong or out of date. The chance shown for each question is our estimate. Check anything important against the ad and the employer's own words.
We keep improving Seal the Offer, so features may change. We won't take away the main features of something you've already paid for.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older to use Seal the Offer.
- You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google. Keep your email account safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- One account per person. Please don't share it.
- You can start before you sign in. That work is kept for 7 days, and moves to your account when you sign in.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Fair use of AI
We built Seal the Offer to help you prepare honestly. These rules apply to everyone. How we use AI explains them in more detail.
- No live help. Don't use Seal the Offer during a real interview, test, assessment or recorded video interview. It's for preparing beforehand.
- Take-home tasks. If you paste a real task an employer set you, we switch to coach mode. We explain, plan, research and proofread. We won't do the task for you.
- Employer rules come first. If a job ad or email says not to use AI, we show you that line. Then we pause AI help for that stage. Follow the employer's rules.
- We don't invent facts about you. We never make up employers, job titles, dates, degrees, certificates, security clearances, citizenship, numbers or results. If an answer needs a detail your resume doesn't give, we leave a [bracket]. You fill it in with what really happened.
- Examples are labelled. If your resume has no story for a common question, we may write an example. It's marked as made up for you. It shows the shape of a good answer. Replace it with a true story before you use it.
- You check everything. Read every answer and document before you use or send it. Make sure it's true and in your own words. What you say in an interview, and what you send to an employer, is your responsibility.
- Limits per job. Each job includes up to 3 interview rounds, 10 answers you add and 20 card rewrites. Anything a pass calls “unlimited” is for normal personal use, not bulk or automated use.
Prices and payments
- One-time payments. You pay once for one job, or once for a pass. There's no subscription, and nothing renews by itself.
- One job unlocks everything for that job, for good, including every interview stage.
- A pass lets you unlock a set number of jobs while it lasts: 5 jobs in 30 days, or 15 jobs in 90 days. It also includes the extras it lists. Jobs you unlock stay yours after the pass ends. We'll remind you 7 days before it ends.
- Fair prices by country. Prices are set by country, so they're fair where you live. You see the price in your currency, with any tax your country requires, before you pay.
- Your card's country. We show the price for the country you're in. At checkout, we check which country your card comes from. If that country has a higher price, that price applies, and we show it to you before you pay.
- The EU and EEA. Everyone in the EU and EEA sees one price. A card from any EU or EEA country pays that price.
- Codes. Creator and referral codes give 15% off. One code per order.
- Gifts. You can buy any option as a gift. The person you give it to uses a link to claim it.
- Price changes. We may change prices for new purchases. We announce changes 14 days ahead. What you've already bought doesn't change.
- Stripe. Stripe takes our payments. When we sell through Stripe Managed Payments, Stripe is the merchant of record: it's the seller on your receipt and handles the tax. Stripe's own terms for buyers then also apply to the payment.
Refunds
Not right? Tell us, and we'll put it right. We look at every refund request case by case. Email [email protected], and see Refunds for what to include.
If we refund a job, its kit is no longer available in your account. Whatever we decide, your rights under consumer law still apply.
Your rights under consumer law
In Australia, our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. We must provide them with due care and skill. They must do what we said they would. And we must deliver them within a reasonable time.
- If there's a major failure, you can cancel and get a refund for the part you haven't used. Or you can ask to be paid for the drop in its value.
- If the failure isn't major, we'll fix it within a reasonable time. If we don't, you can cancel and get a refund for the part you haven't used.
- You can also claim for other loss or damage you could reasonably have expected.
If you live in another country, its consumer laws may give you more rights. One example is the right to cancel some online purchases in the EU and UK. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
What you can't do
Please don't:
- add someone else's resume or details without their permission;
- paste anything you're not allowed to share, such as an employer's confidential test or papers;
- use Seal the Offer to deceive an employer, for example by claiming experience you don't have;
- break the law or anyone's rights, or upload harmful code;
- get around our limits, for example by making extra accounts for more free previews;
- copy, scrape, resell or rebuild Seal the Offer, or use it with bots or scripts;
- test or attack our systems, or try to see other people's data.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it's fair, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Your content
- You own your content. Your resume, stories, answers and anything else you give us stay yours.
- You own what we write for you. The answers, stories, kits and documents we make for you are yours to use, change and send as you like. Any rights we have in them, we give to you.
- What you let us do. You allow us to store, copy and process your content only to run Seal the Offer for you. For example, we send it to our AI provider, show it to you, and share your questions with a friend you choose. This ends when you delete your content or your account. Backups are gone within 30 days, and we keep only the records the law requires.
- No training. We don't use your content to train AI models.
- Your part. You must have the right to share what you give us.
- Our part. The site, its design, software, templates and brand belong to us. Please don't copy them, except to use Seal the Offer.
- Your ideas. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
- Other websites. Company briefs link to other websites. Their content belongs to their owners, and we don't control it.
If something goes wrong
We work hard to make Seal the Offer accurate and reliable. But we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or right for every job.
As far as the law allows:
- we're not responsible for an employer's decisions, or for a job or interview you don't get;
- we're not responsible for indirect loss, such as lost income or a lost chance;
- for any claim, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them. That includes your guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, and loss caused by our fraud or gross negligence.
Ending your use
- You can stop using Seal the Offer and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close your account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
- If we ever close Seal the Offer, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and time to download your data. We'll offer a fair refund for anything you paid for and haven't been able to use.
- The parts of these terms about your content, liability and the law still apply after your account ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Seal the Offer changes. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site at least 14 days before it applies. If you keep using Seal the Offer after that, the new terms apply. What you've already bought stays as it was sold.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and its courts can hear any dispute.
If you're a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of your country's consumer laws. You can also bring a claim in your local courts.
