What's in your kit
- Where they'll ask the most: the themes the ad stresses, in its own words.
- Before you start: what to expect, what to be ready to explain, the night before, and what to find out.
- Answer cards, most likely first. Fill in the highlighted gaps with what really happened.
- Example answer · made up for you marks a card your resume had no story for. Learn its shape, then tell a true story the same way.
- Also be ready for: 10 more questions, one line each.
- Your stories, research on the employer, tips for the day, and a thank-you note to edit.
Practise
- Test yourself shows one question and its memory hook. Say your answer out loud, for about 90 seconds. Then choose Check against my card.
- Open the cheat sheet shows every question, hook and story on one page. Print it, or save it as a PDF.
- Download PDF on the kit page saves the whole kit, to read anywhere.
- Practise with a Friend sends a link to someone who asks your questions.
Say your answers in your own words. A kit is for practice, not for reading out.
Change an answer
- Open a card's Follow-ups and rewrites. Under Rewrite this card, choose Shorter, Simpler English, Another example or More senior. Each job includes 20 rewrites.
- Add your own question turns a question you expect into a full card, up to 10 per job. Type it, then choose Write this answer.
- Change a story under Edit your stories. Later kits use your version.
- A card didn't finish? Choose Finish the missing cards.
