After an interview: note what they asked

After a test or interview, the job's page asks What did they ask? Write down the questions you remember, while they're fresh. If they invite you back, your next kit uses your notes. We also keep a copy of the questions without names, to learn what employers ask.

Note the questions

  1. Set the job to Interview or Test or assessment, with its date.
  2. On the day, What did they ask? opens on the job's page. If you left the date out, open After the interview: note what they asked.
  3. Type the questions you remember, one per line. Add what went well or badly too, if you like.
  4. Choose Save my notes.

We also email you How did it go? after the interview. Its button, Note what they asked, takes you there.

Prepare the next interview

With a kit for the job, choose Got another interview? Prepare for it. Your notes help the new kit go deeper, and it doesn't repeat earlier questions.

The copy we keep

A day after you save your notes, we make a separate copy of just the questions. Names, contact details and details about you are taken out. It helps us learn which questions employers ask.

To stop the copy, choose Delete my notes within a day of saving them. Edit my notes changes your own notes, but changes after a day aren't copied.
